Sanding hardwood floors is not a regular affair for hardwood flooring. In case you are installing a hardwood floor, sanding gains importance. It is a final addition made for the hardwood floor, which is as valuable as any kind of furnishings in your home.

You must make yourself aware of the negative sides of sanding hardwood floor. Too much sanding will make the floor thinner. Therefore, it increases the need of frequent installation of floors. Sanding is a dusty affair. The sanding equipment is very fiddly to use. No matter how smooth you are in it, there will be chances of scaling out a good amount of wood.

Chemical renovation is the best alternative that one can access at present. It is inexpensive and preserves your precious wood. If you do not want complete sanding of the floor, nothing is better than the former alternative. Begin with making repairs. This repaired area can be renovated with sanding, if need by hand. Then, bathe the previous, completed parts of the floor with plain water (you can use Trisodium Phosphate). Keep the new wood out of moisture. Then the floor must be left out for drying. Use wax remover on the old parts. Again, let it dry. Then look into the blanched areas. If there is any, check out what is the cause of the stain. Then use white vinegar or bleach or oxalic acid (according to its need).
